Smile Makeover

Everyone can have the confidence of a beautiful smile. We offer the latest techniques in cosmetic dentistry by experienced dentists.

Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneers are made from thin coverings of porcelain which become strong, natural looking and long-lasting when they are bonded to the teeth. If you have gaps, misshapen chipped or cracked teeth or discoloration, veneers can dramatically improve your smile.

Crowns
Crowns (or caps) are used to restore teeth if they are misshapen, discoloured or have been weakened by damage or a large filling. The crown is made to fit over the prepared tooth, making it strong and giving it the shape and colour of a natural tooth. Crowns are not only strong they can dramatically improve the shape and colour of your teeth.

Tooth Coloured Fillings
One of the great advantages of bonded fillings is that they are manufactured in shades and translucency's to match the colours and appearance of natural teeth. In some cases the fillings can be bonded onto the tooth surface without any drilling. If tooth preparation is necessary, this is always minimal with this type of filling. Natural coloured fillings can also be used to cover marks or to reshape teeth into a more pleasing appearance.

Porcelain Inlays
If you have large fillings or cavities in your back teeth there are a number of ways to restore them. The traditional way is with silver amalgam fillings, however as these are silver/grey in colour many people find them unsightly. In some cases 'white' fillings can be used but these are not so strong, although they can be used for small fillings in back teeth. A Porcelain Inlay is a porcelain filling which is made in the laboratory and bonded into the tooth. Its main advantages are that it is tooth coloured, it is much stronger than a 'white' filling and it has the same wear characteristics as dental enamel. This makes it a gentle material to have in the mouth.
